Lip augmentation via injectable fillers.

Question: I want lip augmentation via injectable fillers. I am most interested in hyaluronic acid fillers. After the injections, will my lips swell and if so, for how long? Will my lips feel soft and natural or does the filler make them somewhat harder?
Answer: Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane or Perlane are commonly used for lip augmentation. I personally prefer Juvederm over Restylane on lips, but Restylane will work just as well. I find Juvederm to be softer on lips than Restylane. There will be some mild swelling immediately after the procedure. The swelling will gradually resolve over next 2-3 days.
