I’ve heard that injectables can be used as non-surgical versions of certain procedures, like a facelift, eyelid lift, nose job, etc. How effective are these?
Yes and no. Injectables are fillers or volume enhancers for lines and areas of the face that lack volume. Smile lines, marionette lines, flat cheeks, and dorsal irregularity (nose) are some of the more common areas of the face where filler is used. It is not a replacement for surgery. Excess skin and loose underlying structure cannot be repositioned or lifted enough with fillers. Surgery will correct those problems much better. There may be a trend towards ‘over selling’ fillers to replace surgery. I would advise to do your homework before ‘buying’ into any promises.
