Different fillers for different procedures, or a personal preference?

Question :
I have some facial concerns that I think would be best addressed with some injectable fillers. Do doctors choose the filler based on their preference or based on the patient’s specific concerns?
Answer :
Fillers should be chosen based on patient’s concerns and treatment areas. For instance, Juvederm or Restylane is a good option for lips (off label) but not Radiesse. For areas of the face where more volume is needed (i.e., cheeks), Sculptra or Radiesse would work better.
