Dr. Choe received his undergraduate degree with honors from Occidental College and his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine Dentistry. He completed his Head Neck surgical training at the New York Eye Ear Infirmary in Manhattan under the tutelage of some of the world’s preeminent head, neck and plastic surgeons. Following his residency, Dr. Choe was one of thirty surgeons selected for an intense facial plastic fellowship at a world-class center for plastic surgery in upstate New York.
Dr. Choe is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. ON A PERSONAL NOTE…
A native of Tacoma, WA, Dr. Choe and his wife chose Virginia Beach following his training, to start his practice and raise a family. Although neither Dr. Choe nor his wife Rachel had family here, they felt that this area, with its strong ethical influence and inherent beauty, offered an environment well suited to raising a family and building strong community ties.
Dr. Choe and his wife enjoy community involvement, serving on boards of civic organizations as well as various church activities. He serves on a team of physicians, nurses and other helpers who participate in a yearly medical mission to serve the poor in Central and South America, Asia and Europe treating adults and children with birth defects other serious reconstructive problems.
